4 Moncler Hyke

Dedicated minimalism...

Last month, Moncler unveiled a comprehensive ‘MONDOGENIUS’ collaboration across five cities, featuring designers such as Craig Green, JW Anderson and Hiroshi Fukiwara. Eleven designers presented collections alongside immersive digital experiences and musical performances.

Amongst the Mondogenius presentations, Japanese label Hyke debuted a minimalist collection that celebrated archival Moncler silhouettes with contemporary utilitarian design and details.

Founded in 2013 by Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Ode, the Tokyo based womenswear collection is known for understated minimalist designs and vintage silhouettes. Offering an elevated utilitarian aesthetic, the brand spans tailoring, knitwear, outerwear and accessories.

For Moncler Genius, Hyke delved into the Moncler archive, referencing vintage French uniforms to create a soft, workwear-inspired collection. Reworking pieces like the 1960 Lionel Terray down coat, Hyke presents a sleek, pared-down collection of fleeces, ribbed knitwear, layered pants and puffer jackets, with detachable linings, scarves and collars in a clean colour palette of navy and taupe.
