The brand taps Moodymann for a new hook up.

Dropping this Friday with a special live event in Barcelona (a new Detroit produced mix from DJ and producer Andrés will follow), Carhartt WIP’s latest hook up sees the brand tap the latter’s finest in the form of one Kenny Dixon Jr, or, you know, Moodyman.

Having remixed former Clash cover stars in the shape of Lana Del Rey, the DJ and producer is perhaps best known for his record labels: KDJ, Mahogani, NFD and Private Collection. This week sees him add fashion collaborator to the professional line-up, as a capsule collection of tees is released alongside a v.special UDG DJ bag.

Pictured above, the capsule line boasts two long sleeve T-shirts as well as a short sleeved number – the MMC Detroit Soul Skate, the MMC Set U Free and the MMC Triple Logo respectively – each with monochrome graphics paying reference to Moodymann’s aforementioned labels.

For its part the latter Carhartt WIP x Mahogani Music UDG Sling Bag Trolley Deluxe (slight mouthful), hosts up to 60 records at a time and has been produced in the streetwear label’s classic Brown Dearborn Canvas; a limited edition 7inch vinyl completes the offering.
