Coach Reveal Streetwear Infused Collection With BAPE
New York fashion house Coach has dominated the luxury leather goods market since it’s conception in 1941. A vast expansion over the last 79 years has seen Coach goods sold in over 55 countries worldwide, A-List celebrity ambassadors and a number of exciting collaborative capsules with the likes of Keith Harding and Disney, to name a few.
Just one week after their autumn-winter 2020 collection hit the runways of New York fashion week, Coach have announced their latest project, designed in partnership with Tokyo-based Streetwear giants BAPE.
Spanning across menswear, womenswear and accessories, the exclusive, limited edition capsule merges the iconic ape head logo with Coach’s instantly recognisable C branding for a dual branded monogram stamped on bags, footwear and a leather puffer jacket. Fusing house codes and sensibilities, the collection is a celebration of each brand’s heritage in New York an Tokyo respectively.
The BAPESTA sneaker, celebrating its 20th birthday this year, receives a colourful update alongside new, monogrammed renditions of the Coach Academy backpack and city-exclusive, ape head t-shirt colourways.
The campaign, shot by one of New York’s finest, Quil Lemons, stars actor/musician Quincy Brown, modelling the collection in his homestead Williamsburg, and model/songwriter Kōki, showcasing key pieces in the Ebisu District of Shibuya in Tokyo.
BAPE x Coach is available exclusively at Browns East, 21 Club Row, Shoreditch, E2 7EY, from Saturday 22nd February for one week. Following this, the collection will also be available in limited quantities from Coach.com, BAPE.com and select Coach and BAPE stores.
