Introducing Peoples Of All Nations
Inspired by J.A. Hammerton’s anthropological study of the same name, Georg Weissacher’s London-based brand, Peoples Of All Nations looks to examine the conplexity of humanity. “This book made me realise what we can achieve through diversity”, he said, “that we can deal with the challenges of a modern, connected world successfully only when we cherish and nourish our respective differences.”
Georg distinguishes his label through a rigorous design process, rooted in technology and innovation, with signature pieces combining knit and woven elements of the same yarn.
Using his designs as a means of expression, the Salzburg-born designer, and former vice head of menswear at Vivienne Westwood seeks to portray his own brand identity and narrative through short films, in his own words, "the best medium of storytelling we have created."
His recent cruise collection was accompanied by adaptations of Durrenmatt’s dark tale, Der Hund and the Sound Of Music theme. The latest drop sees the brand travel back to the Wild West, accompanied by a short spaghetti-Western-love-story titled The End, exploring the freedom and lawlessness of the age. Check it out below.
The eco-friendly cowboy collection is available until November 21st., visit poan.com
