The culmination of two careers long lived in the footwear industry, menswear label ohw? first landed in 2010; six years later and the pronunciation of the name is still a testing factor for many fans (you say ‘who’, fyi).
Initially launched to offer a new approach to the market – marrying contemporary design, function and an oft ignored rarity, in-house manufacturing – for AW16 ohw? is dropping six ranges, a bold advance on its traditionally tighter offerings.
With monikers such as Reflection, Waterproof, Commando, Glide, Traveller and Relax, the lines vary in aesthetic, from retro sports styles and contemporary classics to a series of directional, trainer alike models, functional outdoor types and ‘advanced performance designs’.
Amongst this season’s highlights are those pictured above: Horak, Blaze, Freddy, Dodge, Deacon and Hawkins, the latter three pulled from Glide, described by them at the top as ‘a retro sole unit’, the remaining trio part of the Reflection line-up (a hybrid sports selection).
