The high street heavyweight taps Navy for its new, more directional collection.

“I like to collaborate with artists that wouldn’t be afraid to jump onto a flight and shoot in the middle of nowhere,” reckons Dexter Navy in a new short from Topman.

Tapped by the menswear brand to help launch its new Private Labels line (the videos go by the moniker Private Views... see what they did there?), Navy is the 25 year old photographer and filmmaker with whom A$AP Rocky, M.I.A. and Red Bull have each previously worked.

The first in a series of four shorts – this initial episode celebrating Premium, a collection ‘born from a modern and minimalistic design aesthetic’ and fashioned ‘to outlive seasonal trends’ (predominantly high quality basics and contemporary jacket styles in a palette of blush tones) – sees Dexter and film crew exploring his West London ends.

While the full 40-piece line-up lands in-store and online today, the second part of Private Labels arrives next month, with collections three and four landing in November.
