Hedi Slimane turns the lens to a new family.

“I was playing a show with my girlfriends in The Paranoyds, opening for my brother’s band,” explains Staz Lindes of her breakthrough Saint Laurent moment.

Now on first name terms with the French fashion house’s creative director – Hedi Slimane, obvs – Lindes and her brother (Misha Lindes of the band Sad Girl) are the latest musical pair to pose for Slimane’s lense.

The catch? Unlike Josh Homme, Courtney Love and the rest of the label’s Saint Laurent Music Project participants, the siblings are adorned in their own clothes. Which, actually, in the photographer’s infamous black and white aesthetic, aren’t a far cry from the house’s own garms.

Previously part of the SS16 catwalk line-up, a moment she brands both surreal and exciting, Staz claims a connection to the brand that goes beyond babydoll dresses: “I’ve always wanted to look like Bowie or Blondie,” she exclaims, a nod to Slimane’s recent output.

So what does it take to be one of the chosen ones (a.k.a. a Saint Laurent girl)? “Conquering personal fears and doubts.” But of course.
