Until The Ribbon Breaks started as a solo project, before quickly gathering like minds.
Moody, atmospheric pop music delivered with an electronic flavour, the group have spent time honing, refining their sound.
Live shows are flamboyant, dramatic, while on record Until The Ribbon Breaks match experimental whims with an assured pop touch.
Debut album 'A Lesson Unlearnt' will be released on June 1st, with band also lining up a plethora of SXSW shows. Ahead of this, Clash has gained some exclusive imagery from the Until The Ribbon Breaks' recent London show at Hackney's Oslo venue.
Alongside this, Pete Lawrie-Winfield has penned a short missive on the group's time in the capital.

London Bridge could well have been burning down, such was the depth of the sleep that I woke up from at 6am this morning. Elliot's turn on the sofa, I took it last time in New York. Its a simple system, a democratic republic (apart from the backstage rider, which is every starving, tired, unreasonable man/big baby for themselves). As we have now migrated to Americuh, London now has a homecoming, celebratory feel for us and so before we head to the venue we try to cram as much in as possible (bacon).
Today is exciting. We have only ever played here once before and today is bigger, brighter, a better show. We have recently toured North America with fellow Brits London Grammar and feel well oiled, well rehearsed.
Soundcheck is a clusterfeck of coiled cables, tension and missed calls. We are nervous wrecks by now and pace around with furrowed brows, talking about 'mid range' and whether or not the projector works.'it does eventually and the stage is set. I receive the news that my long suffering family is down stairs for dinner. I can't go. My legs are like jelly, rubbish old jelly.
ADRENALINE!! Here it comes, coarsing through my veins. For about three nano seconds I stand in the mirror, attempting to play out the bathroom scene from 8 mile. Then I remember I'm me, I'm in Hackney and I really should stop all this nonsense.
The show is a joy. A blur of sound and lights, I can see my friends in the crowd. The sound is good and we lock in to that unexplainable shared feeling. Doing what you truly love in front of people who have come out of their houses to watch you do it. All the nerves fall away and the energy of the room takes over.
I can't sum up the sense of release that a good show can give. I went on a school trip to Alton Towers once. That was pretty good. Not as good as tonight though.
