Sheffield giants head to Spain
Arctic Monkeys

Arctic Monkeys have been installed as the latest headliners for this summer's Benicassim.

The opening weeks of January can be a dark, bleak, desolate time. Thankfully, we've got festivals plans to sort out.

The team behind FIB Benicassim are working hard throughout the winter months, piecing together the line up for 2013's event. A number of names have already been confirmed, but last night the Barcelona event added a high profile headline act.

Currently working on a new studio album, Arctic Monkeys will take time out to perform at Benicassim. Rifling through their back catalogue, the Sheffield giants will no doubt have a few surprises up their sleeve for the massive Spanish crowd.

The band join an already glittering line up, which contains appearances from The Killers, Queens of the Stone Age and Azealia Banks.

Elsewhere, the likes of Palma Violets, Jake Bugg, Echo Lake, Splashh and Swim Deep are set to travel out to Barcelona for an appearance at the festival.

Fancy heading along? Weekend tickets are still on sale at the special price of £145 - be warned, though, the limited edition batch of early bird passes will be withdrawn on March 30th.

Benicassim is set to run between July 18th - 21st.
