Due to "family circumstances"

Deerhunter have decided to postpone their upcoming UK tour due to "family circumstances".

It's all about timing. When a band organises a tour, each date must be prepared for, with countless personal responsibilities being put to one side. However it seems that for Deerhunter, the timing of their forthcoming UK tour is all wrong.

The band were due to play a series of nationwide shows next month, but "family circumstances" have forced the group to postpone the tour.

In a short statement Deerhunter said:

"We are very disappointed to have to cancel our upcoming European tour due to unforeseen circumstances. We were very excited for these shows, but unfortunately family circumstances at home for multiple members of the band have made this unavoidable. We will reschedule as soon as possible."

Dates effected include:

11 Dublin Vicar Street
12 Belfast Empire Music Hall
13 Glasgow The Arches
15 Manchester Academy 2
16 Leeds Stylus
17 Liverpool East Village Arts Club
18 Cardiff Solus (SWN Festival)
19 Brighton Concorde 2
