Just Jaden...

A vivid pink sunset with a fuschia Tesla racing through a quiet road in the hills of Calabasas is the opening visual at Jaden’s sold out London show.

The intro, 'P', off his most recent album 'ERYS' is played whilst Jaden provides vocals off stage. As that ends, the track naturally shifts into track two of the album, 'I', where an energetic young man leaps out on to the stage and the audience throw themselves into a frenzy of mosh pits, screams and the treacherous flying beverages.

Tracks with hard hitting bass resonated throughout the Kentish Town Forum with Jaden spewing out crowd favourites such as 'Ghost', 'Batman' and 'Noize'. He even allowed the crowd to catch their breath with a specific 40 second break for water, while he also sat back and drank his own brand, 'Just'.

This seemed relatively calm compared to the constant visual of a floating convulsing Jaden also paired with vomiting with the background once again being a peaceful sunset with hues of pink to fit in with the album’s theme. Debuting songs he’s never performed live before including 'Soho', 'Fire Dept' and 'Plastic', the performance of the dubstep-inspired 'Goku' was one of the most memorable highlights of the night. That, as well as Jaden shaving his head live on stage.

A well-executed debut London show after dropping the ‘Smith’ from his name, the child star turned borderline music/visual genius, implements that he is in his own lane drastically separate from his peers.

His album is appreciated more performed live which is a rarity in this day and age and for that, Clash is extremely grateful.
