Icelandic artist Ásgeir will release new album 'Bury The Moon' early next year.
The record was prompted by a stay in a remote Icelandic summerhouse, just Ásgeir, his equipment, and a broken heart.
Returning with a series of acoustic sketches, he set about turning these into sparse, atmospheric songs with the aid of some key lyrical collaborators - including his father, a noted Icelandic poet.
'Bury The Moon' is the result. Set to be released in both Icelandic and English language editions, the English language project involved some translation input from John Grant.
New single 'Youth' is online now, and it's an inspired return - acoustic songwriting with flecks of electronics, the lyrics speak nostalgically of an adolescence that has just passed.
Tune in now.
'Bury The Moon' will be released on February 7th, order your copy HERE.
