Indie Stars Rock Butlins

The first leg of the Big Reunion's Twisted Circus festival took place this weekend (November 24th) and was a huge success. Around 4,000 music fans made the trip to Butlins in Skegness for a sold-out three day weekender that continued until the early hours.

The big story of the weekend was the set by The View, during which lead singer Kyle Falconer sported a fat lip administered by a friend. His jeans no doubt cakes in filth, the diminutive singer gave all he had in a ferocious show which pulled the biggest crowd of the evening.

Other big names performing included Brum-rockers The Twang, whilst The Young Knives offered a preview of their new album. The Rumbles Strips and Blood Red Shoes then finished the night, with the music not stopping until 5am.

The Twisted Circus Festival is brought to you in association with Clash Magazine (hey, that's us!) and must surely explain why it's so damn good. The bands deserve some credit as well.

The Big Reunion continues this weekend (30th November - 1st December) at Butlins with acts such as We Are Scientists and C.S.S. For a full report of festivities so far click here.
