Could she be set to perform?
BRIT Awards

The organisers of the BRIT Awards have strongly hinted that Adele could be involved in tonight's ceremony as a means to "make amends" for last year's interrupted speech.

Scooping a number of trophies, Adele finished the BRIT Awards in 2012 on a high. Dominated the ceremony, the singer expected to be able to make one final speech to fans.

Sadly, though, this didn't happen. Host James Corden was ordered to intervene, cutting short Adele's moment of triumph as the nation seemed to take a communal intake of breath.

Now, though, the BRITs plan to "make amends". Chatting with the Guardian, BRITs chairman David Joseph said he couldn't understand "what was happening in that control booth" before adding: "I can hint that something is going to happen this year to right that wrong".

Adele is actually up for nomination in two categories. Her Bond theme 'Skyfall' is nominated for 'Best Single' while the singer is also in the running for the newly created award for "global success" - a recognition of worldwide popularity.

The BRIT Awards take place tonight (February 20th). Watch out for a full preview on ClashMusic later.

Just for fun... here's Adele's tearful performance of 'Someone Like You' at the BRIT Awards 2011.
