New album 'Brain Candy' is incoming...

Australian duo Hockey Dad have shared their new single 'Itch'.

The band will release new album 'Brain Candy' on May 29th, and will follow this with a short UK tour.

Each show will undoubtedly be worth catching, with their high octane live experience going down a storm in their native Australia.

New album 'Brain Candy' takes Hockey Dad a step further forward, following sessions in Seattle with John Goodmanson.

The pair have shared new single 'Itch', a song that began in fuzzed out, droning territory before being finessed into something sharper, more refined, more potent.

A step outside the norm for the pair, 'Itch' is a real blast. Hockey Dad's Zach Stephenson explains...

"The demo for 'Itch' started off as a delicate, droned out kind of song. As we started recording it in the studio and adding drums and guitars we realised the potential it had for an epic fuzzed ballad so we ran with it. It’s definitely the most non-Hockey Dad song we have ever recorded..."

"The ‘Itch’ video shoot was unlike anything we’ve experienced before, we had a full-day shoot with costume designers, production crew, and makeup. We were coated in thick body paint and face masks during the steamy LA day while skating, but it was worth it to creep people out who were walking by us.”
