Nashville artist hits purple streak...
Jack White

Jack White has revealed that he is close to "finishing" his second solo album.

Jack White is famed for his work rate. While other songwriters spend up to a decade completing a single album, the Nashville based artist has been known to record new material at a furious rate.

Aiming to release a new Dead Weather album in 2015, White closed out the year by unveiling fresh single 'Open Up (That's Enough)'.

Now it seems that a solo LP is incoming. Speaking to fans in a web chat, Jack White explained that he was close to "finishing" a new album under his own name.

The songwriter said he was "producing two albums this month, and finishing them" and that "one of them is mine". (via Consequence of Sound)

In a previous interview with 6Music, Jack White claimed that he had a cache of around twenty songs prepared for his new album - the follow up to 2012's well received 'Blunderbuss'.
