Featuring KT Tunstall, Alexis Taylor and more...

A songwriter steeped in a vividly Scottish tradition, James Yorkston tends to work alone.

So news of a fresh, fully collaborative album comes as something of a shock. Titled 'The Cellardyke Recording & Wassailing Society' - or 'CRAWS' for short - the record features contributions from Alexis Taylor, KT Tunstall and The Pictish Trail amongst others.

Despite the title referencing a village in rural Fife, the new album was recorded London’s Livingston studio with Alexis Taylor at the controls.

New track 'Fellow Man' has emerged online - check out the lyric video below.

Set to feature fifteen new songs penned by James Yorkston, the forthcoming album also contains a cover of Chris Bell’s classic ‘You & Your Sister’.

Out on August 18th, 'The Cellardyke Recording & Wassailing Society' contains the following tracklisting:

Fellow Man
The Blues You Sang
Sweet Sweet
Guy Fawkes' Signature
Thinking about Kat
Feathers Are Falling
Broken Wave (A Blues For Doogie)
Red Fox
 King Of The Moles
Great Ghosts
