New album 'As You Were' sails into the charts...
Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher has admitted that the Oasis split is "biggest disappointment".

The singer is cresting a wave of success, with new solo album 'As You Were' smashing into the charts at number one.

Notching up more than 100,000 sales, it has become the year's third quickest selling album in the UK - just behind Ed Sheeran and Rag'n'Bone Man.

Speaking to the Guardian, Liam Gallagher answered a series of quickfire questions, with even more quickfire answers.

Asked "What is your biggest disappointment?" the frontman replied: "Oasis splitting up."

Probed about films, he said: "The film Quadrophenia had a big impact on me – haven’t read the book though."

The broadsheet asked the singer what the worst thing anyone had said to him was... to which he replied: "Are you Noel Gallagher?"

'As You Were' is out now.
