Check out 'Computerized' on Clash...
Daft Punk x Jay Z

In a way, it was inevitable.

Jay Z has always sought out high profile producers, always attempted to find the ultimate beat.

So when Daft Punk signalled their return, you can be sure that Hove had them on speed dial. Late last night (March 11th) a track pertaining to pair the two against one another appeared online.

Confirmed as genuine by Jay Z's representatives, 'Computerized' is as you would expect: the production is crisp, layered in the French duo's brand of retro-futurism.

As Consequence of Sound points out, the rapper expressed an interest in working with Daft Punk around the time of the 'Tron' soundtrack.

A current theory at work online is that 'Computerized' was recorded around the time of those sessions.

Judge for yourself.
