Loyle Carner is a conundrum.
The rising South London MC is capable of discussing pained, emotional topics in an open, frank manner. Above and beyond this, though, he's able to deliver these messages - on the surface stern, foreboding - with a character, an infectious energy that simply draws you in.
Beginning to earn praise from underground hip hop heads and pop fans alike, Loyle Carner is set to issue his debut single 'Tierney Terrace' through paradYse on July 24th.
A glorious introduction to an exciting talent, Loyle Carner introduces the track:
"Just off Brixton hill, Tierney Terrace was where my grandparents lived, and it became a bit of a refuge for me when my mum was working late. I learnt a lot from both of them, and at times, felt my grandfather was the only man I could look up to. I wrote this a while back, after a run in with my biological dad."
