Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds have shared new single 'Black Star Dancing'.
The former Oasis lynchpin went psychedelic on 2017's full length 'Who Built The Moon?' and was rewarded with critical praise, the record subsequently making the Mercury shortlist.
Heading back into the studio, the guitarist began dropping a few hints on social media last week, sharing snippets of lyrics and potential song titles.
New EP 'Black Star Dancing' is the result. Out on June 14th - coincidentally the same day Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds headline the Isle of Wight festival - it will be available digitally and on 12 inch vinyl.
Available to pre-order HERE the record is trailed by the title track, a disco-flecked stadium monster.
Noel Gallagher drops names like INXS and Nile Rodgers into the press quote, and that wild guitar solo is certainly prime arena-filling material.
He says: "It manages to combine the influences of David Bowie, INXS, U2, Queen, Indeep AND ZZ Top FFS! ...I might have been watching too much Top Of The Pops recently... Anyway, it's dope! ...not my words, but the words of Nile Rodgers who literally danced in the studio when he heard it!"
Tune in now.
