Zeb Samuels links with McKnasty on new single 'Yellow'.
The potent multi-instrumentalist has just released his new EP, with Zeb Samuels exploring fresh spaces on 'Vibration Exploration'.
Out now, it's a instrumental-focussed return, one that dives into his formidable array of influences.
Boards Of Canada are cited, and you can certainly hear their beatific charms - so, too, does drum 'n' bass pioneer LJT Bukem, whose influence looms large on 'Yellow'.
The shuddering low-end exploration is shot through with percussive bursts, given a cinematic feel that almost resembles Pink Floyd's 'Meddle'.
McKnasty works on the piece, one that fuses together jazz improvisation with a neat recontextualisation of club tropes.
He says: “I’m really happy to be able to present a purely instrumental EP that displays my exploration as an instrumentalist and producer. Writing vocal-driven music takes on a very different approach to my music and really happy with the outcome.”
Tune in now and buy the EP here.
