It's MC5 meets Hawkwind...

Welsh group Los Blancos has shared their terrific new single 'Dilyn Iesu Grist'.

The band are part of the close-knit Welsh language underground, but in every sense Los Blancos walk their own path.

It's a solitary, righteous journey, one that fuses the anger of the MC5 with the brain-melting fug of Hawkwind - except in Welsh, obviously.

New album 'Sbwriel Gwyn' - which translates at 'White Trash' - lands on September 27th, a heavyweight meteorite of gnarly fuzzed out thrills.

Los Blancos are hunger for the fight, with their single 'Dilyn Iesu Grist' representing a hectic, helter-skelter race to the finishing line.

A supremely exhilarating dose of lysergic guitar energy, 'Dilyn Iesu Grist' dissolves into an acid bath of distortion before suddenly re-igniting itself for a barnstorming finale.

Vocalist and bassist Dewi Jones explains “it’s a song about empty rhetoric and how something that is utter nonsense can sound profound and meaningful.”

“It is not necessarily a dig at religion; it can apply to popular culture or politics, such as ‘Brexit means Brexit etc’ or cringey inspirational quotes on social media...”

Tune in now.

Catch Los Blancos at Cardiff's Clwb Ifor Bach on September 27th.
