Check out new melter 'Cellophane'...
METZ

METZ have announced plans for new album 'Strange Peace'.

The band have been working with Steve Albini at Chicago's Electrical Audio studios, compiling a series of fresh cuts.

Billed as a more nuanced return, 'Strange Peace' drops via Sub Pop on September 22nd.

“The songs on 'Strange Peace' are about uncertainty," Alex Edkins explains. "They're about recognising that we're not always in control of our own fate, and about admitting our mistakes and fears. They're about finding some semblance of peace within the chaos."

New track 'Cellophane' is online, and it certainly doesn't forget to cause a ruckus - inferno riffs, tumbling drums, and wailing vocals, there's nonetheless a sense of space in the music that allows fresh contrast to emerge.
