A new podcast focussing on Joy Division and New Order has been announced.
The eight part series is called Transmissions The Definitive Story, and it kicks off on October 29th.
Narrated by Maxine Peake, it offers the full story of those seminal Manchester groups, culminating in the release of New Order's groundbreaking 'Blue Monday'.
An in-depth discussions, it carries exclusive interviews with each surviving band members, alongside guests such as Bobby Gillespie, Bono, Anna Calvi, Hot Chip, Liam Gallagher, and more.
Bernard Sumner comments: “Nothing would’ve stopped us - nothing did stop us, did it? Ian’s death didn’t stop us, Martin’s death didn’t stop us, getting all the equipment stolen didn’t stop us… There was nothing to go back to. There was no Plan B.”
Peter Hook adds: “To be in one band with such a distinct identity is pretty bloody lucky but then to get into two bands was amazing!”
Produced by Cup & Nuzzle, Transmissions The Definitive Story starts on October 29th.
