With a mix of infectious beats and kitchen sink realism, Oscar #Worldpeace has already garnered critical momentum for his ability to encapsulate the masculine experience in London.
Built from the concrete up, Oscar’s effortless merging of hip-hop, UK Garage, grime and R&B lends itself to the distinct sound of the city.
Highly anticipated debut album 'Sporadic' will land on May 8th, and it's his most ambitious project to date.
The record is heavily influenced by the arrival of Oscar’s son last summer, who is sampled on the album as well as gracing its cover.
Each track carries confessional, yet life-affirming lyrics that have primed him as a singular voice for this generation.
Speaking about the record, he says:
“Before recording 'Sporadic', we had already named the project something else and were conscious about how we wanted it to sound. But I was almost limiting myself to a concept, which made it forced and harder to complete. Then we let go of the name and just had more fun. I was inspired by my wife, son, friends & family and made something that I don’t think people can’t get elsewhere.”
“From production, to structure, lyrics, skits and features. Everything about the project is Sporadic, it feels limitless. From one song to the next is unexpected and that is the most freeing part about it.”
