Constructed as part of a Chanel runway show...

Planningtorock will release new EP 'PlanningToChanel' on July 22nd.

The multi-disciplinary artist returns, following a high profile commission by Chanel last year.

The Berlin based electronic visionary teamed with Chanel sound director Michel Gaubert to work on a runway show, and their collaborations form the spine of this new release.

Out on July 22nd, it offers chic electronics with a cinematic feel. “I always felt that Jam incorporates operatic and cinematic elements to their unique sound,” Gaubert explains. “The Chanel show was inspired by French cinema from the 70’s and 80’s and Planningtorock blessed the show with their sound and gave birth to PlanningtoChanel.”

New song 'Jam Fam' is online now, and it finds PlanningToRock leaning on their 80s influences. Jam explains:

“With ‘Jam Fam’ I wanted to create an authentic 1980’s sound so no big kick or bass and plenty of high swimming synths. I recorded my voice and sung lots of ‘Ohs’ and ‘Ahs’ and then pitched them each individually create a vocal melody. I wanted the track to be super up in feeling and fun and classic sounding.”

Tune in now.
