Behind the scenes of '...Like Clockwork'
Like Clockwork

Queens Of The Stone Age have posted a new clip online detailing the sessions which led up to new album '...Like Clockwork'.

Soon, there will be a new Queens Of The Stone Age album in the world. Sure, the band have a lengthy career, and - if we count side projects - a bewildering discography, but let's soak that information in: a new Queens Of The Stone Age album is on the way.

Titled '...Like Clockwork', said LP drops in June and contains an imposing list of guests. Dave Grohl drops by on drums, Nick Oliveri, Mark Lanegan and Alex Turner all contributed to sessions.

Somewhat strangely, Elton John appears on the album and in a recent interview Josh Homme opened up about the reasoning behind this collaboration.

"(Elton) was in a car listening to (Homme's other band) Them Crooked Vultures and his assistant said: you need to hear Queens. The guy driving the car was an old room-mate of mine!" he told XFM. "So all of a sudden I get a phone call at my house on a Sunday. I picked up and he said: ‘Hello Josh, this is Elton’. I thought someone was messing with me."

"He said, ‘The only thing missing from your band is an actual queen!' I said: 'Honey, you have no idea'".

Queens Of The Stone Age posted a behind the scenes video online this afternoon. Featuring some intimate studio footage, you can watch it below.
