It's a delirious three minute guitar pop nugget...

Highly rated London upstarts Sports Team have shared fantastic new indie blaster 'Margate'.

The band's live shows have caused huge buzz across the capital, a fizzing collection of snappy riffs and biting choruses.

Set to play London's Scala venue in September, Sports Team have just arranged a very special one off show in the coastal town of Margate.

What better time, then, to release a new single in honour of the traditional English holiday destination...?

'Margate' - the song, this time - is all off piste riffs, yelping vocals, and pummelling drums, half-way between 'Hey Mickey!' and prime era Wire.

Sports Team explain: "'Margate' is a song about English summers. Hosepipe bans. Overgrown hedgerows. Frayed tempers. The season of Reeling in the Years and tailbacks on the A303. We went in to record it with Burke during the first group stage games, when things were looking up. Some of that optimism rubbed off."

Tune in now.
