Mo'Wax is the story of one man, a handful of genius producers, and a vital time in club culture.
Emerging from the London nexus that formed between rave, hip-hop, and jazz, the label was spearheaded by James Lavelle, a clubbing evangelist and aspiring producer.
Later forming the UNKLE project, the label became closely tied to DJ Shadow's breakthrough as it forged a global reputation.
New documentary The Man From Mo'Wax is a study of this unique music moment, a blistering, completely honest account of the label's formation, its rise, its successes and its flaws.
Out on August 31st, we've obtained an exclusive trailer and it looks fantastic - watch out for music from UNKLE and DJ Shadow, amongst others, alongside vox pops from James Lavelle, Josh Homme, and more.
Tune in now.
