1999 classic to gain fresh vinyl pressing...

The Roots are set to launch a new re-issue series later this year.

The hip-hop legends last released an album in 2014, with '...And Then You Shoot Your Cousin' being followed by some exemplary live shows.

Taking time to look back, the group have confirmed a new re-issue project, featuring their peerless classic 'Things Fall Apart'.

Released in 1999, it arose from incredibly industrious sessions with the Soulquarians collective, a soulful, reflective take on hip-hop with a sensual jazz feel.

A deluxe edition lands on September 27th, with the coming months boasting new editions of 1994’s 'Do You Want More?!!!??!' and 1996’s 'Illadelph Halflife'.

The remastered albums will be accompanied by Black Thought and Questlove essays, bonus tracks, and rare photographs.

Questlove comments: “We’re looking forward to going back to the vault to revisit our original recordings from the studio and we’re excited to celebrate these albums by really delivering something special for our fans.”

'Things Fall Apart' deluxe edition will be released on September 27th.
