The Strokes might be close to finishing work on their much anticipated new studio album, it seems.
The band went back out on the road this summer, including brand new song ‘The Adults Are Talking’ on the set list.
Rumours of studio work have been ongoing, with guitarist Nick Valensi hitting Q104.3 Out of the Box to discuss the future of the New York group.
The host claimed to know that their new album is complete, with the musician responding: “Wow, you heard that...? Who told you that?”
The host replied with “reliable source”, to which the guitarist said: “Well, it must be true then.”
Asked "if" or "when" fans will hear the record, Valensi responded: “When, I don’t know. If – I would say, a strong likelihood.”
It's not much, but it's something. Starved Strokes fans last received new material in 2016 - with their EP 'The Comedown Machine'.
