There's a lot of negativity in the world, but that's where London riser R.A.E. comes in.

The Thamesmead newcomer is unashamedly 90s in her sound and outlook, matching a fun, boom bap style to her biting 2k19 bars.

Smash singles 'Damn Jermaine' and 'Oi Son' went viral on their release earlier this year, with the London artist returning with something bold just in time for summer.

R.A.E. - it stands for Rising Above Everything - hails from Thamesmead, and she's perfected a sound all of her own.

Working with producer YKKUB, frisky new single 'Haters' is a fun riposte to those negative online comments, telling all the cynics to step back.

There's a serious point at work here, but as ever R.A.E. manages this with a smile on her face and a spring in her step.

She explains: “It's not too late to chase your dreams, i've been dreaming about this day ever since i was born; I believe we are all destined for greatness, so this must be it.”

The video pits R.A.E. right back in the schoolyard, and - as ever - she comes out on top...
