'Every High'

Australian-born and Berlin-based, Kyson's music is impossible to resist but difficult to categorise.

Melding folk textures with electronic production, his hip-hop rhythms allow the songwriting to billow in different directions.

New single 'Every High' is incoming, a beautiful return that hinges on the nuances of Kyson's deft, supple vocal.

It's an endlessly intriguing return, one dominated by a sense of calm, and this atmosphere ripples through the subsequent video. Kyson explains:

"The clip was shot on the Island of Malta and its stunning surrounding islands. Being there definitely felt right as the island has a wonderful sense of calm and tranquillity, that we wanted to put into the visuals. When scouting for locations, the breathtaking landscapes mixed with abandoned five star beach front hotels was definitely an interesting and inspiring mix of urban decay and nature in all its beauty."

"Christoph Bruns (ON&ON Studios) was in charge of the Art Direction and styling for the clip, together we created and developed a colour scheme to to enhance the earthy tones, soft pastel colours and quick flashes of gold that the music plays in my mind. I have worked with these guys on a number of projects before, so working with them for this clip was a no brainer: Stay tuned for part II.”

Director Andreas Lamoth adds: "This video does not tell a story. Rather, it depicts the character's inner world through the trepidations of his soul, his passion, torments and Love. A relationship between (small) human and (big) nature are explored. It is a study of both solitude and connectivity which aims at expressing that one will inevitably becomes a part of its own surroundings.”

Tune in now.
