At a certain point Tom The Lion just reached an impasse.

His album ‘The Adventures Of Tom The Lion’ - a compilation of two outstanding vinyl only EPs - earned rich critical acclaim, a beautifully pieced together selection of personal vignettes.

That was five years ago, however. Since then, Tom The Lion has worked on several projects, but an ongoing sense of dissatisfaction led him to ditch them all.

New album ’Round Trip’ arrives this year, ending a prolonged period of silence with a flurry of live shows and brand new music.

'Tanks' is a lovely, lilting return, the buoyant melody masking some of Tom The Lion's most intriguing, personal lyrics yet.

A song about loneliness, memory, and desire, 'Tanks' warns of "death and destruction" while still supplying one of the songwriter's most infectious, insistent melodies yet.

Tune in now.
