For a while there Jalle was almost lost to the world.

Growing up in Nottingham, he found life difficult to navigate, the pains of adolescence stinging deep.

That is, until he found music. Becoming involved in a community studio, Jalle blossomed, with his deft, pop-soaked songwriting startling those around him.

Breaking out earlier this year, new single 'Hey' continues his rise, but there's still a connecting line between Jalle and his roots.

Out now, the delicious single was produced by British duo The Nocturns, an off piste pop jammer co-written alongside Oscar Scheller (Ashnikko).

It's sheer Jalle, with the young gun commenting that 'Hey' is "about getting drunk or high and calling that person you know you shouldn’t. We’ve all done it and normally regretted it..."

Nottingham director Raja Virdi steers the visuals, a stylish but gritty portrait of the artist's world.
