'In My Head'

Ilgen-Nur had always harboured something deep inside, a desire to reach out and communicate.

First stepping onstage at the age of 21, she immediately knew this was where she needed to be, allowing her thoughts and emotions to spill out.

Supremely affecting slacker pop with a lo-fi edge, her debut EP 'No Emotions’ was released via tape soon after that fateful night, immediately placing her on the map.

Based in Hamburg, her debut album 'Power Nap' will be released on August 30th, with Ilgen-Nur spinning tales of disaffection and post-teenage angst.

New single 'In My Head' is about becoming locked into your own thoughts, but also how that one person can bring you back out into the open.

A song about finding connections, it's a crisp indie rock burner that recalls everyone from The Walkmen through to Courtney Barnett.

She explains...

"'In My Head' is about isolating yourself and not leaving your house or bed, then meeting a complete stranger from the internet and spending three days in a row with them and becoming good friends. Just being excited about the fact that you just met someone for the first time that you didn't know the day before. You’re just really connecting with them even though you are aware of the fact that they live really far away from you and that you won't see them for quite a while..."
