'Lonesome Dreams' due in January

Lord Huron has offered ClashMusic readers a preview of his upcoming album 'Lonesome Dreams'.

Funny how certain sounds can be tied to a specific place. New York, for example, has a confidence which stands in contrast to the laid back atmosphere of the West Coast.

Which makes Lord Huron a confusing proposition. Led by Ben Schneider, the band's music recalls the rolling, Mid West landscape of his birth but also has the gentle roll of current home Los Angeles.

New album 'Lonesome Dreams' is the result. Set to be released Stateside next month, the full length will be available to British fans in January.

It should be worth the wait. Rich, lucid songwriting Lord Huron share the same breezy, country feel which fuels Fleet Foxes et al but with a sense of romantic euphoria born from those sweeping Mid Western landscapes.

ClashMusic have been handed a short clip for album cut 'Ends Of The Earth'. Backed - somewhat appropriately - by some dramatic scenery, you can watch the clip below.
