Jesse Mac Cormack has an old soul.
Montreal born and raised, the Canadian songwriter seems to take things a little deeper. Atomised Americana, his slow-paced, textured artistry seems to really get under your skin.
Writing and recording alone, Jesse Mac Cormack is a cult hero in his native city. New album 'After The Glow' should change that, though - a work that is both coarse and smooth, pleasingly melodic and utterly dissonant, it's his most accomplished document yet.
Forthcoming on Secret City Records, Clash is able to tease the album by premiering the title track. 'After The Glow' circles around those glorious guitar chords, Jesse Mac Cormack's voice wringing every ounce of meaning out of those lyrics.
Tune in now.
