'The Night'
Oslo Parks

Pop isn't something to be ashamed of.

Sure, it's nice to break boundaries, to shatter expectations but some of the finest cultural moments coughed up by Western Civilisation have come from the Top 40.

Oslo Parks make simple, direct pop music. A Brighton based duo - who give the names Rob and Ian - the band describe themselves as "layered vocals over a mixture of live and electronic instrumentation – pop writing in an alternative setting."

Bass led, furiously funky and hugely contagious, new cut 'The Night' is our latest Track Of The Day. Buoyed by a nagging, insistent melody, it's worth comparing to Metronomy, Junior Boys or even recent cover stars Jungle.

Out now (iTunes link) via London tastemakers X Novo, 'The Night' comes backed with the equally addictive new cut 'Twin'.
