Haraket means 'movement' in Turkish.
Perhaps its apt. The London group don't tend to sit still, continuously writing new material, continuously exploring fresh options.
Live electronics with a soulful flourish, there are shades of (early) Portishead in there, while the kick of the rhythm section lingers on the fringes of jazz.
The band's second EP is out now via Melodica, and it's an imposing feat. Seeming to improve with each show, Haraket are rapidly blossoming into something quite special.
Part of this move's Next Wave section in Clash Magazine, Haraket recently commissioned a number of new remixes.
Clearly in a generous mood, the band kindly donated one to Clash as our latest Track Of The Day.
Amané steps in to re-work 'Sea Grids', retaining the soft, lingering vocal of the original and adding some wonderfully intense production.
Check it out below.
Haraket are set to play the George Tavern in London on March 7th - details.
