It’s Monday and the clocks have gone back.

Sure, the mornings might be a little lighter but somehow it seems that our hearts have become a little darker; which is why we’ve decided to line up something extra special for this week’s first Track of the Day.

Lovechilde are a good ol’ fashioned production duo. Which is to say that Elliot Dodd handles the songwriting, while James  Dashwood sprinkles some studio magic on top.

It’s a partnership we’re rapidly becoming quite fond of. Playing their first shows last summer, Lovechilde seemed to linger on the sidelines, happy to spend time honing their sound, refining their songwriting.

New single ‘Thorium’ / ‘Tourniquet’ finds the band breaking cover. Lovechilde leave nothing to chance – every aspect of their music is poured over, with the duo even giving the length of each track a special meaning.

‘Tourniquet’ is designed to fit the length of a seven inch single exactly. All artful posturing, Dark Wave synths and wired, driven, amphetamine laden guitar lines it’s an appropriately cold, moody soundtrack to those Autumnal days.
