Life's a drag...
Cave Painting

'Leaf' is the latest track to be taken from Cave Painting's debut album 'Votive Life', which was released in September last year.

An elegantly crafted, intelligent debut 'Votive Life' saw the Brighton based band build upon a fanbase that had already been established through the release of several singles and a support slot with eventual Mercury Prize winners Alt-J on their headline UK tour.

The video for 'Leaf' becomes part of a rich indie lineage, following on from the likes of Radiohead and Coldplay in featuring a guy lying on the floor in an awkward position. Unlike 'Just', lead singer Adam Kane doesn't attract a load of attention as he's constantly on the move despite not leaving his prone position.

This effect is said to have been created by director Alex Brown with the use of a "special sledge", although it could probably be recreated with a skateboard.

We interviewed Cave Painting in December and chatted about their breakthrough year, check it out HERE.
