Live on Jimmy Fallon...
Damon Albarn on Jimmy Fallon

Recording during the 'Parklife' sessions, 'This Is A Low' is a curious sort of anthem.

Musically, it matches a Kinks style pastoral vision to Graham Coxon's love of torturing guitar amps until they give up their internal secrets.

Lyrically, it remains one of Damon Albarn's crowning glories, a wonderfully poetic, gently melancholic salute to the shipping forecast.

Appearing on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night (June 5th), Damon Albarn performed material from his new solo album 'Everyday Robots'.

As a web only treat, the Blur frontman also agreed to sing 'This Is A Low' alongside an accompanying string section. It's a beautifully fragile performance, with Albarn teasing out each line with a voice just barely above a whisper.
