Brooding electronics from the duo...

Museum Of Love is another name for the friendship that exists between Pat Mahoney and Dennis McNany.

The two crafted a full album together back in 2014, a one off statement that allowed them to spread their wings outside of those all-important day jobs.

For his part, Pat Mahoney is an intrinsic part of LCD Soundystem, while the duo's debut album emerged on DFA Records.

Almost a decade later and a follow up is now ready, one that takes Museum Of Love over to reconstituted imprint Skint Records.

Out on July 9th on double vinyl and digital platforms, new album 'Life Of Mammals' is an immersive 10 tracker, one shot through with fresh elements and mixed by James Murphy.

New single 'Cluttered World' leads the way, a brooding, slow-paced electronic statement, packed with the kind of sonic glamour you'd expect from The Blue Nile, say.

A gorgeous listen, 'Cluttered World' comes equipped with a video directed by Jonah Freeman.

The film maker comments...

“We met with Pat and Dennis of Museum Of Love on March 12th, 2020 at a Japanese bar in the East Village that only plays reggae. We pitched them an idea for a video that would be simple enough: an illustration of exponential scale that swerves into associative absurdity. I would say the mood was positive except for the looming feeling that New York City might go into lockdown at any moment. This was the last in-person meeting we would have for many months."

"A little over a year later the film is complete but with the notions of 'orders of magnitude' and 'cluttered worlds' taking on even more surreal associations. Every initial plan we had was turned upside down but the foreboding beauty of the song persisted and, after it all, offered just the right atmosphere for a brief rejection of linear space-time perception.”

Tune in now.
