Poppy Ajudha sparkles on new single 'Low Ride'.
The vocalist fuses her soulful approach with a relationship amongst London's jazz underground, resulting in some startling moments.
New single 'Low Ride' is out now, and it finds Poppy sparring with Atlantic signing Mahalia.
The two vocals combine intimately, surrounded by a jazz-leaning arrangement that incorporates musicality from Nubya Garcia, Joe Armon-Jones, Dylan Jones and Kiran Kai.
Highly poetic, Poppy Ajudha explores attraction and passion, tension and release: “Raindrops, red lights, your eyes, headlights, like love you appear...”
She says the single is "an intimate love song. 'Low Ride' is all about sensuality, love and lust."
"The video, in classic black and white, perfectly describes what the lyrics allude to showing love behind steamed up windows, raindrops in the dark and the perfect feature by Mahalia..."
