Redinho has spent his life absorbed in music.
As a producer he's been responsible for some sensational solo cuts, as well as producing transatlantic rap project Swet Shop Boys, featuring Riz Ahmed and Heems.
Working on a flurry of new cuts, Redinho dips into his Californian childhood for new burner 'Nova Special'.
All lurid synths and that stuttering beat, there's also a wistful air, with a pang of nostalgia that revels in an almost bleached-out sense of sound.
The visuals dip into these 80s themes, while also supplying that endless sense of momentum which Redinho unleashes in his music.
He explains: “From the age of six to eight, I lived in California. It was a very happy time for me, so I associate the sound of crickets (which you hear at night in California) with my memories of that time and a feeling of peace.”
“The video is a search for this feeling, and a search for home. I have visited Athens many times, and even lived there. The climate and landscape of Greece reminds me of California, and at night there is also the sound of crickets. So I decided to shoot the video in Athens in an 80s car.”
