Rejjie Snow has only ever wanted to be true to himself.
Each line from the rapper ripples with honesty, his approach rooted in a desire to sketch out his own, uniquely independent identity.
Debut album 'Dear Annie' is incoming, with Rejjie sharing emphatic new cut 'Virgo'.
"'Virgo' is a track I wrote about feeling the pressures of trying to be a star," says Rejjie. "But knowing that you put those pressures mostly on yourself, because someone will have your back no matter what."
The video was shot on O-Devaney Estate, one of the last standing housing estates in Dublin. Steve Wood produced the video, and he comments:
"The estate of O'Daveney Gardens in central Dublin is about to be demolished and the remaining families moved. This place holds a lot of memories. Despite a reputation for crime and violence, we felt none of that and were welcomed by the locals who were happy for us to feature their home and families in Rejjie's video. The whole neighbourhood took part, which is the real life back drop of the video”.
