Bass may be an international language, but it's also the currency of East London.
The area remains a warren of soundsystems, with sub-low frequencies rumbling underfoot. Born & Bred is a new name on the festival calendar, but it looks to be tapping into this lineage, bringing differing styles and approaches together.
Taking place this Saturday (June 6th) at Haggerston Park, Born & Bred will be headlined by the one and only Wiley. Eski Boy remains one of the pivotal sources of inspiration in British music, notching Top Ten hits at the drop of a hat before releasing his best stuff for free.
From (literally) battling on the pirates to leaking his own major label album, Wiley does things his own way - expect a special performance at a site within earshot of his Bow heartland.
Elsewhere, fans can expect sets from Digital Mystikz, grime newcomers The Square, Royal-T, Spyro and more. Mixing the old with the new, Born & Bred have also recruited sets from the likes of Oxide and Neutrino, DJ & MC Neat, amongst others.
Clash have four tickets to give away, alongside four specially commissioned, extremely limited edition, t-shirts. To stand a chance of winning just name the artist you're most looking forward to seeing at Born & Bred...
